myRelocation Guide
A DIY Guide alternative to Corporate Relocation
Project Background: A B2C entry level product meant to act as a gateway to other corporate relocation services. The idea was to upsell this entry level package/product and market more finer tuned services from within. This product would assist the user; in an E-Learning format, with relocating due to work.

Early Ideation and Roadblocks
Introduction
When I was first brought on to work on this project we had one main objective and that was to sell a product that caters more to the individual. Over the corporate packages we sell. This initiative was started by DwellWorks which wished to expand its demographic away from RMCs (Relocations Management Companies) and more towards the individual.
Early Ideas
An idea that we bounced around were a sort of video guide that would be sent to them in regular intervals. Another idea was a flip through digital guide but no ideas stuck as hard as a mini E-Learning platform.
This allows the user to pace themselves at their own speed and also removes a lot of headlift for complicated features on our end.
Roadblocks
Iterating through several dozen different versions of our platform we decided on a concept called “Your Journey” which would help to bind the content to their schedule. A simple timeline setup which encouraged timeliness of content consumption but also informed the user of their deadlines.
Customization
Everybody is different,
One concern that was brought to the teams attention was the inflexibility of the current product that we had created. It could not accommodate for the vast variety of travelers that used our services.
so we asked the user
In order to better understand what kind of travel concerns need to be addressed we conducted numerous interviews to better understand what was missing from other products and what could help to alleviate those concerns.
who they are.
In order to adapt to this we created a two-pronged solution. One being systemic and the second being the addition of a questionnaire to the relocation guide. The systemic change came in the form of Housing Requests form that was filled out prior to the activation of their product. A questionnaire would allow for our guide to automatically allocate different kinds of content to specialized users. For example those who owned pets vs don’t own pets. And those who are moving with families or are flying solo.
